Mr. Chawla has over twelve years
of operating experience in the media and communications sectors
and has led several companies at a senior level in areas of publishing, broadcasting, online media
and entertainment sectors in India and the U.S.
Prior to joining Madison India Capital, Mr.
Chawla was President of US Media Operations at Rediff Holdings, a leading Indian
media company. Prior to Rediff, Mr. Chawla was COO of Radio
Today, where he managed the launch and operations of three
leading Indian radio stations. Prior to Radio Today, Mr. Chawla
also managed the operations of Modi entertainment, a leading
Indian Cable Network company that successfully launched ESPN
India. He has an MBA from Fuqua School of Business, Duke University,
a Master of Business Economics from Delhi University, and
a B.A. from Shriram College of Commerce, New Delhi with Honors.
